I bought a car from EXCEL MOTOR SERVICE employee called JOHN D, he claimed he was selling on behalf of someone else. John informed me that he had done work on the car and it had passed the MOT. Clearly that was false, the coolant tank was leaking, the oil tank is also leaking. The car was smoking front and back whilst driving back to London. When I called to complain, he didn't answer. I text but didn't receive a response. I have the car to a mechanic and was told that there is no point in fixing the issues as the car as the it is not worth it. I know that I should take some responsibility before buying but this is my first car wasn't completely sure what I was looking out for, but they had a duty in insuring that the car was road worthy before selling or at least informing me of the problems. As they didn't insure that, I have decided to take them to court which I am entitled to do under statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. The Act states the car must be "of a satisf
